How to Choose a Wedding Videographer
The ideal way to choose a videographer for your wedding is to hire someone that
you’ve seen, perhaps at a friends’ wedding, or a recommendation from a friend. If
you’re looking for a videographer on you own, it’s important to choose a
company that is well established, and one that can supply you with a client
referral list and a demo DVD showing their work at weddings. Make sure they
are using professional (not consumer) cameras with low light capabilities and 3
chip technology. It’s also important that they use two cameras (three are better) for
your wedding ceremony to capture all the emotion from you, your groom, parents
and your guests.
If you are on a budget, don’t try to cut corners when hiring a videographer, it can
make or break your wedding day memories. Booking a videographer that shows
up in jeans and a sweatshirt with his home camcorder is not our idea of a good
bargain. Be cautious when you are quoted a price that is way below the average
price most video companies charge. Quality wedding video companies normally
charge between $1200 to $2500 for a wedding ceremony and reception covering
6 to 8 hours of video.
Your wedding day is too important to be entrusted to the amateur or the
inexperienced. Make a no-obligation request to have a DVD demo disc sent to
your home and learn how California Video Productions can preserve your
precious wedding day.
